I don’t claim any out of the ordinary technical abilities or skills, except one.
The one thing I do claim is not a virtuoso skill or anything. The thing I do have is shed loads of experience playing in pubs. Around 35 years in fact. I never have and never will set out to impress anyone. What I do is as simple as it gets. I play songs that people having a few bevvies like to sing along and maybe have a wee drunken dance to. I’m not going to bore anyone with lengthy proggy style creations or genius thought provoking lyrics. I’m going to play songs that people know and join in or boogie like a twat to, or even ignore if they’d rather talk to their pals. You might get the odd little x rated gag or funny story if the venue and audience is suited to it.
Like it or not, if you book me, that’s what you’ll get. It really is that simple.
